Apr 22, 2019. #1. Some companies seem to run perpetual sales. Some -never- do. I've never purchased from Orchestral Tools before. I have my eye on a couple of their libs, which are not exactly cheap so I'd hold off if they had some major BLACK FRIDAY deal. If not, I'd get now.

Orchestral Tools samples do have a lovely sound: the flautando strings in BOI and Special Bows 1 + 2 are lush for sure but generally with Chris Hein the dynamic range, legato and a fair few other things beyond those I have already mentioned are implemented so much better than OT and any other developer. Very excited to share my first official demo for Orchestral Tools! Here I highlighted the drum library, using very little else to properly showcase the drums dynamics and tone. I only briefly used two other OT libraries (the modus Shakuhachi once and the low string fx from stringscapes once.)

Nov 20, 2023. #12. You have a ton of libraries. As much as I love the Berlin series, you’re wasting your money getting something that your current setup can likely already do. At the very least you can buy single patches a la carte if for some reason you just need say Berlin’s trumpet a3.
