3) Click the Install Button. Once Optifine is done installing, you should see this alert: 4) Open the Minecraft Launcher Menu and select Optifine. 5) Click the Play button and run the game. Once the game has loaded, go to the following: Options > Video Settings > Shaders. At this menu, you will see the following:

Yes, sodium gives drastically better performance, but then you'll miss out on optifine only features, e.g connected textures, better texture packs, shaders, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, forge etc. I get way better FPS with Sodium. Optifine has a bunch of unnecessary features, in my opinion.

Using framebuffer objects because OpenGL 3.0 is supported and separate blending is supported. Shaders are available because OpenGL 2.1 is supported. VBOs are available because OpenGL 1.5 is supported. Using VBOs: Yes. Is Modded: Definitely; Client brand changed to 'fml, forge'. Type: Client (map\_client.txt)

Yeah, same here. Seems the only fix is fully restarting the game or starting the game with shaders already enabled. the same is happening to me but all the textures are like combining together its weird and only happens with optifine instaled. Same thing is still happening to me on 1.19 Java.

my head is starting to spin and all I want to know is what combination of mods would give the best shader experience with loads of other mods as well, that's why I'm asking for forge. thanks in advance :D. Generally speaking, Rubidium and Oculus with Rubidium Extras will give you better performance than Optifine, and may provide better ...

As someone that migrated from optifine to sodium, you can 100% recreate the experience better and smoother with a few mods. As people have mentioned, Iris for shaders, okzoomer is also great for optifine zoom features. Sodium extra is something I’ve found that gives me all the optifine features without the shaders component and it runs very ...

When I play with shaders my FPS is super low for my PC. When I watch videos of people testing shaders with my same build (RTX 2070 super, Ryzen 3700x, 16 3200 ram) and same in game settings they're getting 144+ easily while i'm constantly at 50-60. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this, please help if you can.

Iris is better for shaders, but if you want other fancy stuff like FreshAnimations then OptiFine is the way to go. Now if only there was a merged mod... No connected textures, which are a necessity for high res texture packs. If I want to play without shaders I play Lunar client which uses Optifine.

This modpack uses a different rendering engine called Flywheel that helps with performance. Its major optimizations are disabled when you use optifine shaders. I run optifine/shaders with Create and have found that Complimentary shaders have the best compatibility out of the well-known versions.
