This file is distributed even in the very latest Realtek driver packages. I've got an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard which includes the Realtek ALC1150 chip. For a while I'd been having very infrequent crashes. Maybe once every few weeks- A freeze, followed by a bluescreen and a reboot. Never during games.

Forget about the extensions first. Go to device manager, look at the realtek audio driver under video, audio and game controllers and the realtek software components under software components. Find each one in MUC and then update them. If within the cab, there are 2 inf files (one is 12 and the second one is 13), update the one that is 13 if ...

The tool was successfully installed and i restarted the system as required, but nothing's has changed. I believe Windows Update 20H2 has rendered my Realtek Audio Driver to not work, and there seems to be no newer Realtek Audio Driver available. Either Microsoft or Realtek will have to release an updated driver to work with Windows Update 20H2.

My speakers, that work on Realtek (R) Audio, stop working every so often and after every restart/shutdown and startup. I can temp fix this by uninstalling the driver and removing the device from Device Manager and then scanning for hardware changes. When I do that the speakers always go to 67 (when they stop working they always go to 100).

Windows 10 won't let me switch to Realtek audio drivers, it always says that"The best drivers for your device are already installed" after I point it to the file with the Realtek audio driver. This is complete BS the audio driver on my system drops into a buzz at least once a day, sometimes forcing me to reboot, additionally I can't get programs like audacity and screen capturing programs to ...
