installing drivers from the update catalog (cab files format)
I installed two drivers I downloaded from the update catalog. They are in cab format. I extracted the two files and it created two folders. I opened both and when I saw files that states, setup information under type, I right clicked on it and clicked on install. The result states: The operation completed successfully. Does that mean the two drivers are installed correctly?

How is it possible to download and install unsigned drivers from Microsoft's official Update Catalog? I was under the impression that everything posted on the Microsoft Windows Update Catalog is signed and has undergone some level of testing. However, I'm not entirely familiar with the process, so I might be mistaken.
