Connect PC to TV in Windows 11 using HDMI - Microsoft Community
I have a new computer with Windows 11 and a mini HDMI port. I have connected the HDMI cable to the PC and my TV but the TV is not detecting my PC. I pressed Win + P keys (as you suggested) and a dialog box comes up with 4 options - 1) PC screen only 2) Duplicate 3) Extend 4) Second screen only. You suggest choosing the mode you wish to use.

Locating/Troubleshooting HDMI port in Device Manager. Having never used my PCs HDMI port before, when I tried to connect via HDMI to a TV I couldn't get a signal. Connecting my TV to my laptop via HDMI worked so its a problem with my PC. Where can I check if the port is broken or not?

It is possible you need to either raise or lower the refresh rate for the monitor. To do this you can go to: Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings > Find your second monitor and select"Display adapter properties" > In the new window that opens go to the"monitor" tab.
