28 October 2012 at 3:35PM. I was travelling to Manchester and booked my tickets on trainline.com I received confirmation and went to the station to pick them up on the day of travel. I couldn't find a ticket machine to put my credit card into so one of the station members of staff found one that wasn't broken or being repaired.
Trainline booking or get ticket at station? skycatcher Posts: 353 Forumite. 13 July 2022 at 2:13PM. Flying into Birminham tomorrow afternoon and returning on Sunday afternoon going to Leicester. Is it cheaper to buy an off peak return (£21.30) from the train, ine app or just get a ticket from the machine in the station? Thanks.
yes, I received a refund from trainline. I stupidly managed to book a return ticket the wrong way round (ie. leaving from the station I wanted to arrive in and vice versa!) I thought it was all ok tbh. I called the customer service and was refunded onto my card pretty quickly.
The tickets the trainline send you SHOULD work the tube ticket gates. That's not to say they will, but that is the way they should work. You don't get separate tickets If they don't the gate staff should let you through. There is a symbol printed on the tickets (sorry, forgotten what it is) that indicates tube validity. The Trainline have done nothing wrong, and didn't impose the rules; so they're entitled to be paid for the work they did and admin in refunding the ticket etc. It's likely the train operator will also charge them for the refund itself, so not fair they're out of pocket.
Trainline may well be bust within a few short weeks as their sales will now begin to dwindle very quickly. It is therefore highly unlikely they will be refunding the cost of a non-refundable ticket. To be clear, the train companies will NOT allow Trainline to refund advance tickets. Trainline have no say in the matter.
if your railcard has disappeared from the trainline app, and trainline claim there is no railcard associated with your email, it may be because the email you used to sign up to the railcard is the default"hide my email" address created by apple to avoid spam. This will cause you to not get any of the emails sometimes too.
Trainline + Complete Savings Cashback. I was checking out train prices on the trainline app yesterday and I noticed an offer that said you get £30 cashback if you buy a ticket through trainline and sign up to a complete savings subscription. I don't usually buy through trainline as it's more expensive than going direct, but this ad suggested ...
Posts: 689. 26 August 2021 at 6:13AM. It depends whether 'break of journey' is allowed and you can check that from the restriction code printed on the ticket. On most tickets (but not necessarily advance ones) you can break your outward and return journey at any point along the route and rejoin at the same or a later station. What you cannot do ...
Trainline Refund - Due to emergency. This weekend my partner and I were supposed to take a trip to Winchester but unfortunately he had to be rushed to A&E due to a back injury so we were unable to make the trip. I livechatted with Trainline and they refused to give us any money back as they were advanced single tickets (non-refundable) that had ...
