Goldcar car hire alicante spain dispute. lucyvanessa Posts: 3 Newbie. 23 July at 9:58PM. We hired a car via holiday autos, which was with goldcar. We purchased the premium insurance (which we later find out is pretty pointless) Goldcar wanted either: €300 deposit plus €170 fuel deposit and pay £212 for their insurance or €1400 and £170 ...
Anyway they did finally acknowledge that CarWiz do say they take American Express cards which the Holiday Autos website states and that they would refund the rest of the 800 euro, to appear in my account in 5 days. As with everything above I have the emails to prove that. That was 6 weeks ago and it still hasn’t been paid.
I have used Holiday Autos every year for my visits to the USA for many years and found them just fine. Indeed, on many occasions I have received a free upgrade, though I suppose that is down to the rental desk at the airport. They did charge an extra £30 or so when my flight was delayed for 25 hours, because they had to rebook the car, but I got that back from my insurance. I shall use them ...
After calling holiday autos they are not sure what this is for. If you google Ec Vehicle rental the first result returned is a complaints boards full of complaints about this practice. As a loyal moneysavingexpert user i feel a bit cheated that you have recommended a company that have a standard practice of cheating its customers.
Holiday Autos warning. GrandTourer Posts: 1 Newbie. 19 November 2013 at 6:08PM. This is more of an annoyance than anything else, but it is something to be aware of when using Holiday Autos. Despite booking on a UK site in pounds, and paying in pounds, they took the transaction in Euros. Therefore there was an additional transaction charge ...
I had no choice. So the car hire cost me £74 not £28. A clear scam designed to force you into taking their rip-off insurance product. That's £46 for 3 days insurance! That's over £5k and it didn't even include they tyres! Outrageous rip off. Obviously I won't be using holidayauto.co.uk ever again and of course I won't be ever using Budget ...
I booked a one way car hire in the US for next month from Colorado to San Francisco and was lucky enough to find a rate on holidayautos that did not charge a one-way drop off fee for dropping the car off somewhere else. Most other sites were charging $300 On the booking confirmaiton I received it says(as it said when I booked):
After hiring a Goldcar car through Holday Autos in Tenerife that was broken into, I've spent the last 3 months trying to get the 1179 Euros extra that Goldcar charged to my Credit card. This has involved getting itemised bills from Goldcar detailing the costs of repair, etc - maybe ten phone calls to Spain, repeated uploading of documents to the AXA website. Stolen items obviously not paid for ...
I had a car booked with Holiday Auto's which I had to cancel the booking of due to the Corona Virus Outbreak. I cancel this on the 18th March and received an email saying I will be refunded within 20 Business days, After the 20 days I chased them up only to be told it would be 25 Business days. I have just received another email saying" We are ...
Holiday Autos used to be ok, but were bought by Car Trawler and if you google the reviews of Holiday Autos, you'll find that they are pretty rubbish. We used them last Xmas for a car in Madeira owned by Goldcar. They were dreadful, bullying customers who had bought excess insurance in the UK, to also buy their own excess insurance, charging for ...
