Ubersuggest is fine if you’re completely new starting out, and aren’t ready to spend money. However if you’re investing the time into writing new content, I’d recommend semrush free trial. It’s just as free as ubersuggest and is a better tool

But maybe it’s just me and my habits… I just never found in Ubersuggest any really differential value. On the other hand, there’s so many potential and features in other tools like Ahrefs that Ubersuggest don’t have, that I would say that you could go first with a trial version of Ahrefs.

I mentioned Ubersuggest in my last interviews for my in-house SEO position— my director had heard of it, and my CMO hadn’t but was familiar with what it offered and received it well. I’ve used it for freelance work for several clients with websites in various states— it was more than sufficient in those cases, as well.

Ubersuggest gets a lot of flack. In my opinion it is a great option for competitor research. Is it the best ? No it’s not. But if you’re starting out and you’d like to have a good competitor research tool, I think Ubersuggest is a great shout. What you could do then is get ahrefs for a few months and cancel when you are ready with it ...

But Ubersuggest's monthly volume estimate was 880, and Ahref said 800. Both are way off the mark. Not even Both tools showed historical data. They didn't reflect the actual search volume either. The same is true about keyword difficulty. You will see a low figure for trendy terms. That doesn't mean you can quickly get to page 1. They mean few ...

Now I have created a plan to find long tail keywords (3-4 keywords) and with rankmath I firstly choose the long tail as primary and insert the 2-3 keywords later.

When I started Ubersuggest was a free tool, and I would say it was good for someone doing seo for their own site a few hours a week. Payting for it makes it horrible. The tool facilitates things you can do for free in almost every other place, so spending 40$ a month (IIRC) for something you can do for free everywhere else is meh at best.

Now ubersuggest and ahrefs are getting more accurate as they also have customers connecting their google search console accounts to their ubersuggest and ahrefs accounts. So volume for both is getting more accurate but they are not 100% accurate. As for KW difficulty, it’s not a standardised calculation. Some use how many links a keyword has, some use how much it costs per click and some use ...
